Physics: Roger Penrose (for discovery related to Black Hole formation and General Theory of Relativity), Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez (for the discovery of a supermassive compact object at the centre of our galaxy)

Chemistry: Emmanuelle Charpentier, Jennifer A. Doudna (Genome editing)

Literature: Louise Glück

**Rabindranath Tagore (Poet & Writer) was the first Non-European and Indian to get a Nobel Prize in 1913 in literature (for his work Gitanjali).
